So we resolve to:

• Find teachers for each student as quickly as possible,
• Provide students with tutors who are well-educated in the subject they are teaching, experienced in teaching, and motivated to help the student,
• Keep our recommended rates as low as possible so we are available to the most clients, without underpaying teachers,
• Provide support to all clients in any issue regarding their tutors,
• Provide support to all teachers in any issue regarding their students,
• Keep our overhead costs as low as possible so we can take a minimum referral fee from our tutors,
• Build community between our teachers to encourage each other with professional and personal support,
• Always show our tutors we appreciate that they are educated, experienced and dedicated to the student.

Who We Are

Evergreen Education LLC is a group of more than a dozen private tutors who have teamed together to be able to offer students more than the average private tutor can. With our network of tutors we can offer students tutoring in any subject, at any level, across King County. Our teachers all have an extensive background in education, whether in the public, private or business sector, and are all characterized by their determination to help their students.

What We Do

Our tutors are all independent private tutors with full autonomy to set their own rates, hours and locations. This means tutoring can be scheduled around the students' other activities, even irregular events such as sports events. Additionally, extra classes can quickly be added for exam preparation or catching up with class work after an extended absence. Schedule changes can be made more quickly and as often as necessary when the client talks directly to the tutor. We can tailor curricula to suit each student, from simply assisting with studies week to week, to covering specific areas in depth while keeping up with new subject material, to teaching a full course. We keep class sizes small – usually one to one and never more than one to five – so that these various needs can be met for each student. And with such a sizable network, a student can find a new tutor for any reason much more quickly than they would with a typically isolated private tutor.

For the benefit of our clients we maintain a central contact number and email address. Emma Garside, our Administrative Director, can be contacted to find additional tutors or regarding any other issue a client may have. We have a single number and email address that can be used to recommend Evergreen to potential new clients. In this way we strive to take the best of both the direct contact and flexibility of a private tutor and the convenience of a standard tutoring corporation. Why We Do It

Evergreen Education was founded in 2007 to be an education company where the needs of teachers and students are valued equally. In many ways Evergreen was founded in opposition to the large, privately owned, companies characterized by inflexible scheduling, limited locations, strict curriculums and low wages for tutors. These companies are not in the best interests of either the clients or the teachers. Evergreen aims to work in the best interests of both.

With these beliefs in mind we try to connect students and teachers in such a way as to benefit everyone. All our teachers are well-educated in the subjects they are teaching, and have many years' teaching and tutoring experience. We do not rent a central office space; instead we teach from our homes, in public libraries, or at the clients home. This keeps costs down and gives our company more flexibility in where we meet our clients. We aim to keep all overhead costs as low as possible so that we can charge the smallest referral fee. This allows teachers to earn a wage that reflects that they are educated, experienced and valued, without over-charging clients. We provide support to all clients and teachers in regards to any issue they may have. We also promote a community between our teachers to encourage each other with professional and personal support. We also encourage tutors to take private students of their own. In everything we do, we want to show our clients and our teachers that we respect and value them.
